I am immensely proud to present the 14th
edition of our newsletter, which has been
synchronised perfectly so that it is
available after the completion of our Spring
Sector Group meeting, which is being
organized together with the Environment
Sector Group and the Circular Economy
Thematic Group in parallel to the
Circular Economy Stakeholders Conference in
Brussels.
Last year’s edition of the European Circular
Economy Stakeholder Conference, which was
held on 6 and 7 March 2018 in Brussels, was
organised by the European Commission, and
this year the European Economic and Social
Committee hosted the 2019 edition.
|
R+T
This
Conference is the main gathering of the
European Circular Economy community, and it
will set the scene to open up new horizons
in Circular Economy, and give participants
the opportunity to expand their network of
Circular Economy partners.
At this meeting, the Internationalisation
Thematic Group Chair of the Enterprise
Europe Network, was also invited to give a
presentation on how to facilitate
internationalisation of European companies,
bearing in mind that only 13% of European
companies actually internationalise.
In this Newsletter, you will find additional
information on the Brokerage Events
organised by members of the SCSG. In
particular, the brokerage events presented
here are:-
1. Cycl'Eau Bordeaux 2019 - Water
management, micropollutants and innovation
in urban waters
2. Future of Building 2019 - Congress -
Exhibition - B2B Meetings, Vienna
3. E²tech4Cities brokerage event and
pitching session 2019, Brussels
4. AQUAMATCH, 4-8 November 2019 The World
leading trade exhibition for process
drinking and waste water, Amsterdam
5. Build & Connect 2020 - Pioneering
technologies and practices in the
sustainable building.
For those of you who are still looking for
ideas, do not forget to read the Inspiration
Article below. This time, the inspiration
article is about an “Internationalisation
Patent Licensing Methodology” developed by
the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the
Netherlands Patent Office (NPO), and the
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and is
specifically intended for Sustainable
Construction companies. The International
Patent Licensing Method is carried out by
using databases, which are accessible to
everyone via the Internet, as well as by
answering 12 questions in order to evaluate
the internationalisation capacity of the
relevant patent and company linked to it.
For extra inspiration and boost, our
Technology Articles come from France and
from start-up companies. The first
technological article is about an autonomous
electronic shower mixer for ecological and
connected showers. This hydro-electronic
technology aims to improve the energy
performance of housing. The second
technological article, also from a French
start-up company, is about manufacturing
smart greenhouses, which are designed to
grow fruit and vegetables in limited spaces.
The technology combines the best growing
techniques with a reduced carbon footprint.
All that’s left for me to say is that I am
looking forward to seeing you at one of our
events!!

URIVABO: Water is
precious, let’s save it, by
reusing it.
Knowing that most men omit
or neglect to wash their
hands, because they have to
move from the urinal to the
sink, and flush the urinal
to clean it, I came up with
the idea to Create an item
combining a washbasin and a
urinal. In addition to
having the sink and urinal
in the same volume, the main
advantage of this invention
is that it uses the water
from washing the hands to
rinse the urinal.
This concept has many other
advantages: it is economic,
eco friendly, hygienic,
aesthetic, etc.
It is Economical and
ecological: The water used
for hand washing is
recovered to clean the
urinal; This allows a
significant water saving and
is an interesting recycling
gesture;
It is Hygienic: In Belgium,
one man out of 3 doesn’t
wash his hands. The sink
integrated in the urinal
encourages the routine of
washing the hands after
urinating;
It allows space gain: With
the "Urivabo", more
urinals/washbasins could be
placed in the same toilet
area;
It is Aesthetic: The Urivabo
offers different designs and
is customizable at will, the
possibilities are endless.
The market: Thanks to its
numerous advantages, the
Urivabo mainly targets the
construction market. In
fact, at a time when we are
looking to build smart and
find tips to save money,
this product is the solution
especially as plumbing is
concerned. This product
would be suitable for
washrooms in public,
semi-public buildings
frequented by many people,
such as: Hotels, cafes,
restaurants and
discotheques;
Sports venues (stadiums,
gymnasiums ...);
Recreational venues
(cinemas, theatres, concert
halls, ...);
Cultural centres, libraries,
museums, hospitals,
Airports, stations, rest
areas ; Schools,
universities ....;
Administrative buildings,
professional buildings ;
Private houses.
